Travel TipsSnorkeling With the FamilyThe Red Sea snorkeling excursion in Hurghada is a boat trip to shallow, calm reefs suited to young swimmers — life jackets and masks are provided, the crew supervises throughout, and non-swimmers or very young children can watch from the boat instead. Walking & AccessibilitySome sites involve walking on uneven terrain, sandy paths, rocky surfaces, or stairs. If you normally use a walking cane or other mobility aid, we recommend bringing it with you for added comfort. This is COMETRA's family journey for those who want it all — ancient Egypt and the Red Sea in one trip, without doubling back. Two days in Cairo cover Saqqara, Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum before an overnight sleeper train carries the family south to Luxor, a private cabin turning transit into an experience in itself. Three nights in Luxor take in Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple, and a donkey ride to the Tombs of the Workers at Deir el-Medina, closing with a sunset felucca sail on the Nile. From there, the road leads east to Hurghada, where three days on the Red Sea — including an included snorkeling excursion — swap temples for turquoise water and coral reef.
